Step 1
Design
The Selene Atelier journey begins with an in-depth consultation in our Sydney showroom, where Tania will discuss your vision, provide embroidery samples and create an initial sketch.
Step 2
Create
Once the detailed sketch of the gown is complete, production of our embroidery is underway. Our embroidery features the finest quality of materials and skilled handwork.
Step 3
Fit
When the physical fabric sample is finalised, Tania produces pattern blocks to create a seamless fit. The pattern block method involves hand-drawing the artwork of the embroidery onto the bodice, sleeves and then the skirt.
Step 4
Sew
We then transition to the most anticipated step of our process, that is to seamlessly sew the gown together and bring the sketch to life.

Our store is located in Ramsgate, Sydney. You can visit us to see our collection in person, try on gowns, and receive personalised assistance in choosing the perfect outfit.
Yes! We can customise gowns to suit your preferences, including fabric choices, embroidery details, and personalised touches.
For custom gowns, we recommend ordering 6–8 months in advance to allow time for design and production. Our online collection is available for pre-order with a turnaround time of as little as 5–9 weeks.
Yes! We offer online shopping, and we ship both within Australia and internationally.
Our gowns come in various sizes suitable for newborns up to toddlers. We can also create custom sizes if needed.
Appointments are only required for custom-made gowns. Walk-ins are welcome on Wednesdays and Saturdays for viewing our online collection. Please note that we do not have ready-to-take-home gowns. If you need more information, feel free to call us!
Yes! We offer matching bonnets, booties, bibs, head bows, bow ties, and other accessories to complete your child’s christening outfit.
We use only high-quality fabrics, including organic, breathable cotton that is soft and gentle for direct contact with a baby’s skin. Our gowns also feature fine lace and embroidery. None of our fabrics are mass-produced; every detail is crafted specifically for our designs.
Due to the custom nature of our gowns, we do not accept returns or exchanges. However, if there is an issue with your order, please contact us, and we’ll do our best to assist.
We don’t offer traditional payment plans, but we do have Zip Pay and Afterpay available to help make your purchase more manageable. Contact us for details.
We recommend using only bridal dry cleaners to ensure the delicate fabrics and embroidery are properly cared for. If you need a recommendation, reach out to us, and we can provide the contact details of our preferred specialist who works with many of our clients’ gowns.
